ד"ר אריאלי למד לתואר ראשון במחלקה לפיסיקה שימושית אלקטרואופטיקה מרכז האקדמי לב, והשלים את לימודיו לתואר שני ושלישי בפיסיקה בביה"ס למדע שימושי באוניברסיטה העברית. דר' אריאלי שימש כראש החוג לפיסיקה שימושית ועוסק במחקר בתחומים שונים. הוא משמש כיועץ למספר חברות העוסקות באופטיקה רפואית ויישומים נוספים באופטיקה. בעבר הוא הקים חברת הזנק שפיתחה מיקרוסקופ תלת ממדי וכעת הוא יזם של חברה העוסקת במערכות היפרספקטרליות לשימושים רפואיים. דר' אריאלי פירסם עשרות מאמרים ופטנטים.

2010 – 2014    Chief scientist of a start-up company “MagniWide” that develops a breakthrough optical platform for magnifying optical vision devices, such as binoculars, telescopes, spotting scopes, surgeons’ loupes etc..

 

2005 – 2014    Founder and chief scientist of "AdOM” (Advanced Optical Metrology) for developing a new technology for retinal imaging.

 

2007 – 2011    Consultant of two Israeli companies: "PrimeSense" that develops a 3D camera for computer gaming and "Real Imaging" that develops a new method for Cancer diagnosis and Thermography.

 

2008 - 2009     Consultant of a confidential project in conjunction with the Israeli Ministry of Defense and MAFAT.

 

2008                Consultant of the company “Visionics Inc.” in a new project "Eye aberrations  Measurements".

 

2005 – 2007    Consultant of the company “Tevet Technologies” for developing a Hyperspectral imaging camera for semiconductor wafer inspection.

 

2000 – 2005    Founder and chief scientist of the start-up company “Nano-Or Technologies” developing wavefront analysis by new approach in interferometry, 3-D measurements and spectroscopy. The product development succeeded and “Nano-Or Technologies” was sold to KLA USA.

 

1998 – 2000    Founder and chief scientist of the start-up company “Rainbo Optical Systems” developing array of micro-detectors for FLIR.
